LOBOC HOSTED A WELCOME PROGRAM FOR THE VISIT OF AMBASSADORS OF INDIA, THAILAND, BANGLADESH, & SINGAPORE WITH SPECIAL ENVOY, MR. CARLOS CHAN AND PARTY AS PART OF THEIR FAMILIARIZATION TOUR OF BOHOL

This is an immense honor to be visited by the representatives of four Asian Countries.  Thanks to Ambassador Carlos Chan for the immeasurable love for Loboc and for walking the proverbial “extra mile” to lend not just his personal time, but the immense resources at his command in helping fulfill our dreams for Loboc”, says Town Mayor, Helen Calipusan-Alaba in her speech during the welcome program of the Ambassadors Visit with Special Envoy, Ambassador Carlos Chan last February 27, 2016 at the Loboc Children’s Theater.

On several occasions the Loboc Patron and Supporter, Ambassador Carlos Chan initiated and arranged several dignitaries from various countries and economies in the world to visit Loboc. The said visit is a form of a Familiarization Tour of Bohol by these special guests. The tour was accompanied by H.E Lalduthlana Ralte, Ambassador of the Republic of India, with his spouse and children, H.E. Thanatip  Upatising, Ambassador of the Royal Thai Embassy with his spouse, H.E John Gomes, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, H.E. Kok Li Peng, Ambassador of the Republic of Singapore, Assistant Secretary Minda Calaguian-Cruz, DFA-Asian and Pacific Affairs. Ambassador Luis Cruz, spouse of Asst. Secretary. Ms. Natasha Ria Cruz-Gutteridge, Mr. James Gutteridge, Executive Director Aileen Mendiola-Rau, DFA-Asian and Pacific Affairs, Director Robert Eric Borje, DFA-Asian and Pacific Affairs, and the Adopted Father and Patron of Loboc, Mr. Carlos Chan, Chairman, Liwayway Group of Companies. With them is Mr. Jer Huey Lin, member of Tzu Chi Foundation, Mr. Cai Rongxuan, friend of Mr. Chan; Mr. Harrell Wong and Mr. Reinire Padua, staffs of Liwayway Group of Companies. Welcomed warmly by Ex-mayor Leon A. Calipusan, Mayor Helen C. Alaba, Vice-Mayor Pablio D. Sumampong, SB Members, and municipal officials and employees, the program was highlighted with outstanding performances of the homegrown international talents, the Loboc Children’s Choir and the Loboc Youth Ambassador’s Band, who also happened to be among the many blessed beneficiaries of the generosity of Ambassador Chan.

The people of Loboc are profusely grateful to him as their father. He did not only donate the modern Children’s Theater, Riverbank Lighting of the Loboc River, several schools including the Loboc Learning Center for Excellence, Fire truck, and many more.Just like a true father to his children, Ambassador Chan supported Loboc all the way.

The humble town Mayor Alaba, quoted during her speech addressing to the generous Ambassador Chan, “We can only repay you with our profound gratitude, love and prayers that all you seek and wish for in this journey of life shall be granted and done unto him by our Loving Father, the God Almighty. Loboc is a melting pot of all nationalities and peace-loving citizens of the world. We offer you and your people our town, our culture, our homes and our hearts. We hope you will allow us to consider you one among us. We shall always be honored to host and welcome all your guests.”
